Every piece of paid work you approve comes with a written licence: where you may use it, for how long, in which countries and what you may change. Using it well means staying inside that licence and planning the extensions you need.
Your content library
Approved work lands in your library with its licence. Filter by licence state, type, channel and platform. Owners, admins and managers can download originals while the licence allows reuse, and every download is logged. Each asset has a printable licence certificate.
Reading a licence
- Where: only the creator's own post, your own channels, or your channels and your ads, plus any extra places the brief asked for.
- How long and where in the world.
- What you may change: cuts, captions, translations, and what you may not.
- Credit and exclusivity, and when the creator may show the work in their portfolio.
Running it as an ad
Only content licensed for ads may run as an ad. An ad made from a creator's content is still an ad that features them: use the platform's paid-partnership label so viewers can see who's speaking and that it's paid.
When a licence ends
You're emailed before a licence ends. At the end, downloads stop, the asset's page says how long you have to stop paid uses, and you mustn't start new ones. The creator keeps ownership throughout.
Extensions
If you want to keep using something, offer the creator a paid extension from the asset's page: where, for how many more months, and the price. They can accept or decline, and the licence runs on from where it ended once you've paid.
