How to read your clicks, signups and earnings

Tracked and untracked clicks, where they come from, earnings per click, and what to change when the numbers don't add up.

Lesson 7 of 8 · 2 minute read · Checked October 18, 2026

Your dashboard shows what each post, platform and brand actually does. Reading it well tells you what to make more of and what to stop.

Clicks

  • Clicks are people who used your link. Bots are filtered out and never counted.
  • Tracked clicks can earn. A click marked untracked still took the person to the brand but couldn't earn, because the link was paused at the time (the brand paused its programme, say, or you'd left the brand); your link's page says why.
  • Unique visitors counts people, not taps: one person clicking twice is one visitor.

Where clicks come from

Analytics breaks your clicks down by link, page, channel, referrer, country and device. Give each place you share its own channel and you'll see which platform works, not just which link.

Sales and signups

Each sale is pending, approved, declined or paid. A declined sale always says why. Read the reasons: a pattern (customers from a country the brand doesn't serve, say) is something you can fix.

Earnings per click is what you earned divided by your clicks. It's the fairest way to compare brands and posts: a brand with fewer clicks and a higher earnings per click may be the better one to make your next video about.

What to change

  • Lots of clicks, few signups: does your content promise what the page delivers? Link to the page you talked about, not the home page, and say what it costs.
  • Few clicks: put the link earlier, say why to click, pin it, and say your code out loud.
  • Declines: read the reason, and ask the brand if it isn't clear.

Give it time

Sales stay pending through the brand's approval window and are then held, so this week's video shows up as money weeks later. Recurring rewards keep paying for months after a post. Judge a post on its signups and approved sales, not on its first day of clicks.
